Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Facial Rejuvenation uses the finest, highest quality Japanese  needles available.
The effects work by damaging the dermis layer of the skin similar to laser
treatment, yet without the side effects. The needling causes damage to the
dermis layer of the skin which stimulates the fibroblasts to start producing
collagen and elastin. Collagen is responsible for moisture content in the skin or
plumpness
results in wrinkles when damaged. Elastin is reticular
connective tissue that provides structure in the skin that gives the snapability
and elasticity which
results in sagging when damaged . The sun damages
both the collagen and elastin of the skin because of the harmful UVA rays
which also contribute to the aging process.
Facial Rejuvenation
Acupuncture stimulates fibroblasts to produce more collagen and
elastin in the skin by providing a more youthful appearance.
Other
benefits are provided by treating
holistically which focuses on the root
cause
of the problem. This will provide relief to secondary concerns such as
PMS and menopause by balancing the hormonal system. Christopher
customizes his treatments to suit the individual and applies Balance Method
Acupuncture along with the local face points to enhance the overall treatment
effects.
Balance Method Acupuncture

Christopher uses a style of Acupuncture that dates back to the I Ching (Book
of Changes) from 1000 BCE to present day. This system of acupuncture has
been passed down through family lineage until the Maoist Communist
Revolution when much of the classical knowledge was lost and many of the
practitioners were imprisoned because of their beliefs. As a result, very little
Classical (Pre-Communist) Acupuncture is being practiced today. Christopher
has been fortunate to learn from
Master Acupuncturist Dr. Richard Teh-Fu
Tan
who along with Dr. Chen Chao are the primary teachers of Classical
Balance Method Acupuncture. Techniques such as
mirroring and imaging
formats which assist in using mainly distal points in the extremities along with
Yin/Yang balancing of the meridians are unique to the Balance Method..
